Creative Arts Therapy for Coping, Healing, and Connecting
Description: This is a closed group for young adults between the ages of 18-25 who are experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. The current health crisis has contributed to increased isolation, decreased ability to access resources, and difficulty fostering peer connections. Within this experiential group, we will address some of these issues by discussing symptoms, exploring Creative Arts Therapy coping skills, and increasing a sense of authentic connection through group dialogue and shared verbal/nonverbal processing. We will incorporate drawing, collage, and mixed media in every group. No previous art experience is required.
Facilitator: Sarah Mays-Sutor, LCPC, ATR-BC, CADC
